DI WATER
Deionized (DI) water is water that has been treated to remove all ions which includes all of the dissolved mineral salts. It is not suitable for drinking but often used in pharmacy, cosmetics, microelectronics, instrument manufacture, food processing industry etc.
After pre-treatment, the water sent through a DI system, which contains three types of resin:
Cation resin attracts positive ions replacing them with H+
Anion resin attracts negative ions replacing them with OH-.
Mixed bed resin allows water to make repeated contact with the cation and anion beads, resulting in more completely purified water, nearly all contaminants are removed.
